    Assam: Crime Branch, Police seized cache of drugs, 5 arrested in 2 cases

    Two packets heroin weighing 26 grams, 5 kg WY tablets (2.5 tablets approx.), 6 cough syrup bottles, Rs 9,200, 6 mobile phones and one two-wheeler were seized in the raid.

    Guwahati: Crime Branch along with Hatigaon Police conducted a raid in the Hatigaon area and seized a huge cache of drugs and arrested four people in connection with the case.

    The accused were identified as Mohashin Khan (32), Mustaqeen (23), Wm Talha (18) and Ramijuddin (32). All four of them hailed from Manipur.

    Two packets heroin weighing 26 grams, 5 kg WY tablets (2.5 tablets approx.), 6 cough syrup bottles, Rs 9,200, 6 mobile phones and one two-wheeler were seized in the raid.

    Further investigation is underway.

    In another incident, the Crime Branch and Bhangagarh police in an joint operation apprehended a person carrying cough syrup bottles in Bhangagarh area.

    The accused identified as Sanu Mullah (28) was apprehended with his car and a total of 35 cough syrup bottles were recovered from the vehicle.

    The raid was conducted on the basis of secret information received by the officials.

    It is also to be mentioned here that Mullah was earlier arrested by Crime Branch and Paltanbazar police on 2019.
