Guwahati: A mother and her son have been arrested in Assam’s Nagaon district on drug-related charges, the official said on Sunday.
According to sources, the duo mother and son were on their way to Mikirbheta on two wheeler vehicle, when they were intercepted by the police in the Jajori area.
During the search operation, the police seized 30 containers filled with drugs weighing 3.40 grams from their possession.
The mother-son identified as Jahidur Rahman and Junmoni Begum, residents of Mikirbheta in Morigaon district.
Meanwhile, police launched a probe and the duo is further interrogated.
