Assam Election Results 2021: Trends show clear majority for BJP-led alliance in Assam

Guwahati: With the beginning of round 3 of the vote counting, trends show a clear majority for the BJP-led alliance in Assam.

As per the latest trend, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal is leading the Majuli constituency with 9153 votes, whereas, Congress candidate Rajib Lochan Pegu is trailing behind with 3674 votes after round 2.

The margin is around 5479.

In Gohpur, BJP’s Utpal Borah is leading the countdown with 16,143 votes, whereas, Congress star candidate Ripun Bora is trailing behind 11104 votes. The margin is around 5039, after round 2.

Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP) president Lurinjyoti Gogoi is trailing behind from BJP’s Teresh Gowala and Congress’s Dhrubajyoti Gogoi in the race with 4198 votes after round 2, whereas, in Naharkatia Lurinjyoti is presently trailing to BJP’s Taranga Gogoi with 3154 votes after round 1.

In Doomdooma, Rupesh Gowala is leading with 7629 votes, whereas, Congress’s candidate Durga Bhumij is trailing with 7216 votes in after round 3.

Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi is leading with 1333 votes after round 3.

Thowra constituency Congress candidate Sushanta Borgohain is leading to BJP candidate Kushal Duwari by 64 votes.

AGP candidate Keshab Mahanta is leading in Kaliabor constituency with 19790 votes.
