Guwahati: Elephant carcass found in Assam’s Palashbari

Guwahati: An elephant was found dead at Palashbari in Assam’s Kamrup rural district on Friday morning. 

The carcass of the wild elephant was spotted by the local villagers in the Sontola area in Palashbari of the district.

However, the cause of the elephant’s death is yet to be established. 

Meanwhile, villagers gather near the dead elephant and pay tribute with the traditional gamusa, agarbattis, and flowers said sources.

After receiving information, forest officials reached the spot to assess the situation.
