Assam: Fake currency racket busted in Nagaon, 3 held

Guwahati: At least three men were arrested for their alleged involvement in dealing with Fake Indian Currency Notes in Assam’s Nagaon district.

The incident took place at the Horagaon area of the district.

According to sources, based on specific information, a team of the Kampur Police Station launched a search operation, apprehended the three accused and also recovered 12 pieces of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) of Rs 500 denomination each. They also seized one bundle of A4-sized paper and one fake FICN printing machine from their possession.

An investigation is underway.
