Guwahati: In a traffic incident, a man and his son died after their vehicle collided with a bus in Assam’s Dhemaji district on Friday morning.
The incident took place at Chauldhowa Bali village in the Gogamukh subdivision in the district.
The deceased were identified as Senim Ali (father) and Imam Ali (son).
Sources said, the bus was heading towards Dhemaji, while the car was going towards Gogamukh when the accident happened.
Following the incident, the father and son died on the spot.
Senim and his son were traveling to Gogamukh from Lakhimpur in their four-wheeler vehicle, sources stated.
After receiving the information, police arrived on the spot and recovered the bodies.
A similar incident occurred on March 18, at least two persons were killed and two others injured in a road mishap in Karbi Anglong district.
The incident took place on National Highway 39 at Bokajan in the district along the Assam-Nagaland border. A speeding vehicle was heading towards Dimapur in Nagaland and the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a roadside tree. The deceased persons were identified as Suraj Ali and Itka Yepto.
