    Assam: GMCH, AMC gets ready for COVID-19 vaccine

    Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will inaugurate the immunisation programme at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital in Guwahati.

    Guwahati: The Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and Assam Medical College (AMC) get ready to deliver the COVID-19 vaccine from Saturday.

    The immunisation programme will be inaugurated at 10:30 am at the two locations simultaneously.

    Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal will inaugurate the programme at AMC in Dibrugarh. Meanwhile, health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will inaugurate at GMCH in Guwahati.

    The beneficiaries are to carry their government ID card, which be checked at the entrance itself.

    A waiting area has also been set up for the beneficiaries. COVID-19 vaccine the entire vaccination process will take 45 minutes, said a GMCH official.

    A list of 100 beneficiaries has been readied for the immunisation programme through an app, another official informed.
