Assam: Government to provide free Aadhar Card to students

Guwahati: The Assam government has decided to provide free Aadhar card to the students of class 1 to class 12.

The Aadhar enrolment is applicable for students between the age group of 6 to 18 years. The initiative is taken by the education department of the Assam government.

The distribution process of the Aadhar card will be started from Monday under the aegis of the Assam government and Sarba Siksha Mission.

The process of enrolment has been started by the deputy commissioners in 27 districts. The enrolment process in Kamrup Metro has been launched at Kamrup Academy in Guwahati by Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu.

In Kamrup (M), the enrolment process will be carried out in 6 schools, 200 centres and 22 panchayat.
