Assam: Govt declares holiday in Tiwa Autonomous Council on Dec 17

The polling will take place across the Councils 36 constituencies spread over Nagaon, Morigaon, Hojai and Kamrup Metropolitan districts.

Guwahati: The Assam government has declared public holiday on December 17, on account of election to the General Council of Tiwa Autonomous Council, 2020.

All the government, non government offices, PRIs, Urban Local Bodies, educational institutions, and business establishment including banks, tea garden and industries, within the specified jurisdiction will remain closed on the day of poll, a notification stated.

The holiday has been declared under the NI Act on December 17, 2020 within the jurisdiction of Tiwa Autonomous Council Area Districts.

The polling will take place across the Councils 36 constituencies spread over Nagaon, Morigaon, Hojai and Kamrup Metropolitan districts.
