Guwahati: Assam Government is likely to come up with a fresh standard operating procedure (SOP), as in the last 24 hours, as many as 2300 cases have been reported till Saturday, of which, 600 cases have been reported from Golaghat and Jorhat districts.
Addressing the media, CM Sarma said, “Apart from Golaghat and Jorhat, COVID cases were also reported from Lakhimpur, Sivasagar, Dibrugarh districts. However, Covid cases in other districts are almost under control as of now; total cases might come down to 1400 to 1500 cases in the state.”
CM Sarma also mentioned that the new SOP will emphasize on COVID situation in districts where COVID cases are more in number.
The chief minister also mentioned that the recovery rate in the state now stands at 94.24%.
