Guwahati: At least two persons were killed in separate hit-and-run accidents in Assam’s Baksa and Sivasagar districts on Tuesday night.
While one individual identified as Selopa Khumtari, a resident of Rongapani, was run over by a speeding truck at Salbari in the Baksa district, another person was killed in a similar manner in the Tingiripam area in the Sivasagar district.
However, in the Baksa incident, locals managed to seize the truck. But the driver and the handyman succeeded to flee the spot.
On the other hand, one Kushal Gogoi was hit by a vehicle that too managed to flee the spot after killing him.
