Guwahati: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on Monday announced the results of the 2022 Higher Secondary Final Examination.

According to the results announced, 83.48 per cent of students passed in the Arts stream, 92.19 per cent in the Science stream and 87.27 per cent in the Commerce stream.

Details of the top three districts with pass percentages in all three streams:

Arts Stream

Dhemaji bagged the top spot in the Arts stream with a pass percentage of 94.67 per cent. A total of 5,314 students appeared in the HS examination from the district of these  5,031 of them passed.

968 students secured first division, 2503 second division and 1560 third division in the district.

Nalbari ranked second in the Arts stream with a pass percentage of 93.54 per cent. 5709 students appeared the HS examination in the district, and of these  5340 passed successfully.

1393 students got first division, 2245 second division and 1702 secured third division in the district.

Lakhimpur ranked third with a pass percentage of 92.99 per cent. 7359 out of 7914 students in the district passed successfully. 1575 students secured first division, 3268 got second division and 2516 secured third division.

Commerce Stream

Majuli bagged the top spot in the Commerce stream with a pass percentage of 100 per cent pass. Only 28 students from the district appeared in the HS examination, of these four of them secured first division, 13 got second division and 11 secured third division.

South Salmara ranked second with a pass percentage of 96.77 per cent. A total of 31 students in the district appeared in the examination, of these, 30 passed successfully.

22 students from the district secured first division, five got second division and three secured third division.

On the other hand, the Baksa district ranked in the third spot. The pass percentage in the district stands at 96.53 per cent. A total of 259 students appeared in the HS examination in the district, and of these 250 of them passed successfully.

113 students got first division, 98 students got second division and 39 students got third division.

Science Branch

Meanwhile, the Baksa district had topped the list with a pass percentage of 98.27 per cent in the Science stream. A total of 695 students appeared for the HS examination in the district, of these  683 of them passed successfully.

536 students secured first division, 141 got second division and 6 third division in the district.

Nalbari bagged the second spot with a pass percentage of 97.99 per cent in the district. There were 1143 students in the district who appeared for the examination, of these 1120 of them passed.

824 students got first division, 285 got second division and 11 got third division in the district.

Sivasagar came third with 97.83 per cent. 1128 out of 1153 students in the district passed successfully. Of these, 884 got first division, 235 got second division and 9 secured third division.
