Guwahati: A human skeleton was recovered in a toilet pit in Assam’s Nagaon district on Thursday.

The shocking incident occurred in the Kuthori area in Kaliabor in the district.

According to the sources, the identity of the deceased is suspected to be one Umesh Bora.

Since the past three months, Bora was missing and his wife had filed a missing complaint in Bagori Police Station.

Following the complaint, police launched a probe into the matter.

Local police along with the executive magistrate reached the scene, recovered the skeleton from the toilet tank, and started an inquiry.

Meanwhile, during the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the wife had extramarital affair with a man named Majibur Rahman.

However, police also suspect that the wife along with Rahman has murdered the man.

Police has detained both the woman and Rahman for questioning.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
