GUWAHATI: Coronavirus pandemic has completely disrupted the environment. Everyone is struggling to cope with the challenges the pandemic has brought. While there isn’t a single sector which has not felt the impact, the education sector, in particular, has been hit hard as it had to immediately shift its way of operating.
Several colleges and universities are now conducting online classes for the remainder of the semester. However, since the cost of college education in India has been rapidly rising, students now feel that they are at the raw end of the deal.
Paying attention to the students plea, Jnanadabhiram Borooah (JB) Law College, has waived off 25% from the total admission fees for the current session (July-December, 2020) of fiver year B.A.LL.B course 3rd/5th/7th/9th semester, three year LL.B/LL.b(H) course 3rd/5th semester and LL.M 2nd/4th semester.
The college also waived the Center fees for all the ensuing examination as declared by Guwahati University, by 25%.
This was informed in a notice on Saturday, issued by the principal of the college which also stated that there is no vacant seat as of now for the five year B.A.LLB (H) curse for the session of 2020-2021.
The development came after the Students Union of JB College requested for waiver of fees in the previous month.
