Assam: Kamrup (M) Administration issues advisory; Urged people to adhere Covid-19 norms

Guwahati: The Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration issued a public notice on Friday in the interest of the public, urging individuals to cooperate in the fight against Covid-19.

Taking to the Twitter, the Kamrup Metro District Administration wrote, “Issued in the public interest. Kindly take note of the Public Notice and adhere to the norms laid down by the Government. Do follow all COVID protocols, mask up and get fully vaccinated at the earliest. Stay vigilant, follow COVID appropriate protocols & stay safe”.

As unvaccinated people are still at risk of becoming infected and spreading disease, no unvaccinated people will be allowed into government buildings or any other public place other than hospitals without valid vaccination certificates w.e.f January 15, official said.

Similarly in hotels, malls and other private establishments, non-vaccinated person (s) shall not be allowed entry. Business establishments shall ensure the same and any violation shall invite hefty penalty, on detection of such violations, it said.

Patients who are not vaccinated or who have not received the second dosage despite the fact that it is due/overdue will not be given with free treatment, including meals expenses, at Government Hospitals/CCCs, it added.

All government employees (contractual and fixed-pay) who are unvaccinated or have not received the second dose despite  being due/overdue will not be allowed to work until they are completely vaccinated and will not be eligible for salary/wages under the no-work-no-pay principle.

HCWs/FLWs, who do not take their precautionary booster dose despite being eligible, shall not be allowed to provide services/claim wages/ salary.
