    Assam: Kanchenjungha Hostel of Tezpur Uni Declared containment Zone

    Reportedly, a student from Andhra Pradesh, who was quarantined in the hostel, tested positive for the virus.

    Assam: Kanchenjungha Hostel of Tezpur Uni Declared containment Zone

    Guwahati: A wing of the Kanchenjungha hostel of Tezpur University has been declared as a containment zone after a student tested COVID-19 positive.

    Reportedly, a student from Andhra Pradesh, who was quarantined in the hostel, tested positive for the virus. Following this, the administration declared the hostel as a containment zone.

    The administration has also banned any entry and exit from the containment zone.

    Earlier, 11 out of 138 girls of DCB Girls’ College in Upper Assam’s Jorhat tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

    Jorhat administration informed that out of the 11 girls, three who were to appear for semester exams have been kept in isolation in the hostel and will appear for the exams from there.

    The other eight girls have been isolated at home. The DC said that the other eight did not have exams.
