    Assam: Karbi Anglong Police recovers drugs worth Rs 2 cr; 3 arrested

    Acting on a tip off, Karbi Anglong Police on Wednesday recovered 20 packets of Yaba tablets worth Rs 2 crore inside the cabin of the truck.

    Guwahati: Acting on a tip off, Karbi Anglong Police on Wednesday recovered 20 packets of Yaba tablets worth Rs 2 crore inside the cabin of the truck.

    Three people were arrested under NDPS Act in connection with the drugs. The accused were identified as Hussain Ahmed (21), Nawaj (20) and Wahidur (19), all residents of Manipur.

    The operation was led by officer-in-charge of Dillai Police Station Raju Chetri, assistant sub-inspector Jiten Gogoi along with other officials, under the supervision of Sub-divisional police officer of Bokajan John Das.

    It is revealed during the preliminary interrogation that the drugs were going towards Guwahati from Imphal.
