    GUWAHATI: The third waterfowl estimation at Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve for 2020-21 season has begun on Saturday morning.

    It’s a two day exercise and will be concluded on Sunday.

    A total of 35 numbers of teams comprising of observers, enumerators, volunteers and media personal were engaged for the mammoth task.

    Sources said the bird census was being carried out at Sohola, Daflung, Sokani, Borbeel, Bengabeel, Donga, Bandardubi, Patahi beels.

    During 2018-19, 11,500 birds and during 2019-20, 19225 birds were counted.
