    Assam: Maiden convention of Raijor Dal beings on Dec 7

    The three-day convention will not only elect the party’s full-fledge committee but also chalk out its political line and programmes.

    Guwahati: The first state convention of newly floated party Raijor Dal has begun at Moran in Dibrugarh district of Assam on Thursday.

    The three-day convention will not only elect the party’s full-fledge committee but also chalk out its political line and programmes.

    The first day of the convention includes flag hoisting by eminent filmmaker Jahnu Baruah, delegation-level meet, Satirtha Sanmilan etc.

    The venue of the convention has been named as Mahaveer Lachit Barphukan Samannway Kshetra.

    The party is also likely to join hands with other regional parties to come together. An indication was given by chief convener of the party Bhasco De Saikia about a possible alliance with other newly formed regional party of the state.
