Guwahati: A man was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants in Assam’s Nagaon district on Sunday night.
The incident took place at Roumari village near Hatipara in the district. The victim was identified as Mujibur Rahman.
As per sources, he was the owner of a brick kiln and also worked as a teacher at a government-run school in the locality.
The sources further added that the miscreants entered the victim’s house, struck him down with sharp weapons at around 10 pm, and then fled from the spot.
The reason for the incident has not been ascertained as of now.
Meanwhile, police have yet to identify any suspects in connection with the incident.
Further investigation is underway.
