Guwahati: While thousand of new teachers are being appointed in school by the government of Assam, a teacher allegedly died by suicide in Assam’s Boko on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Hiren Kalita (52), who was a ME school teacher, died by hanging himself in a tree inside his residence premises.
Reportedly, the reason of the suicide was that after 15 years of his free service as a teacher, he was appointed as a tutorial teacher.
The 52-year-old was a science teacher at Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan ME School, Kandalpara.
It is also known that Kalita was suffering from depression since February 5. After his demise, sadness surfaced among his students and loved ones.
