    Assam Model Allegedly Raped In Uttar Pradesh

    The model was hired by an event organiser to perform at a water park in Mandhna on March 15th, 2020

    A 25-year-old model from Assam was allegedly raped in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

    As per several media reports, the model had come to Kanpur to perform at a function and was allegedly raped at a bungalow by Sameer Agarwal, former director of a prominent club in Kanpur in presence of his aides.

    The main accused Amit Agarwal is presently absconding. However, the police arrested three of his aides – Sameer, Saksham Sahu and their advocate friend. A manhunt has been launched to track down Amit and two of his aides.

    She reached Kanpur from Guwahati on March 13th, 2020. The model was hired by Sahu, an event organiser, to perform at a water park in Mandhna on March 15th, 2020, TOI reported.

    The model saved her life by jumping over a gate. She has been sent for medical examination.

    An FIR has been lodged by the model in relation to the matter. Police said they are examining the CCTV footage and details of the woman’s cellphone.
