GUWAHATI: Julie Sonowal was sworn-in as a Member of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) on Monday.

The Oath was administered by Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Pallab Bhattacharyya, Chairman, APSC, Sanjib Kr. Gohain Boruah, Member, APSC, and senior state government officers including Niraj Verma, Principal Secretary, Home & Personnel Department, Ariz Ahmed, Principal Secretary, Public Enterprise Department, Biswaranjan Samal, Principal Secretary, Sworn-in Cooperation Department, B. Kalyan Chakrabartty, Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, S.S. Meenakshi Sundaram, Commissioner & Secretary to Governor of Assam, Tanmay Buragohain, Secretary, Personnel Department, Binita Pegu, Secretary, Personnel Department, Indira R. Kalita, Secretary, APSCs along with other Government officials.

Sonowal served as Secretary in the state’s health and family welfare department.
