    Assam: Number of COVID cases drops; 46 recorded from Kamrup (M)

    In what is one of the lowest numbers reported in the State in several weeks, 215 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Assam on Monday.

    Guwahati: In what is one of the lowest numbers reported in the State in several weeks, 215 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Assam on Monday. Of these, 46 cases have been reported in Kamrup (M).

    However, the number of tests conducted on Monday has reduced to 14,225.

    With two fatalities reported from the state on Monday, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 was also relatively lower compared to the previous numbers, taking the death percentage of the state to 0.44%.

    The two deceased was identified as Romoni Sharma (54) and Mrinal Kanti Singha (57), both residents of Kamrup (M).

    The recovery rate of Assam now stands at 92.26% and active cases rate at 7.29%.

    The state total tally stands at 2,04,389 cases among which, 1,88,584 are discharged, 14,891 active cases, 908 deaths and three have migrated to other states.
