Guwahati: To map the knowledge of the general population of Assam on cyber safety and security issues, Assam police in collaboration with the CyberPeace Foundation is leading a survey on Cyber safety awareness.
Assam police and CyberPeace Foundation have urged the people of the state to participate in this survey by responding to various queries.
The online questionnaire consist a set of 27 multiple choice questions related to cyber crimes.
This survey will help in understanding the threats that people of Assam are exposed to and how have they managed to reduce them.
It will also assist Assam Police department in preparing an action plan for raising awareness of the citizens and at the same time putting in place measures to fight cyber crimes.
Taking to Twitter to inform about the survey, Assam Police wrote: “As a part of #CybersafetyMonth, Assam Police in collaboration with @cyberpeacecorps is undertaking a study map awareness on cyber safety issues. We request you to give us your valuable responses, for us to assist you better.”
However, Assam police and Cyberpeace Foundation also assured the participants that the identity and other information collected in this exercise would be kept private by the team.
