    Assam Police exam scam: 1 more arrested by CID

    In a recent development, one more person was arrested by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the Assam Police examination scam on Saturday

    Guwahati: In a recent development, one more person was arrested by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the Assam Police examination scam on Saturday.

    The accused has been identified as Abhijit Boro of Ghoramora area in Chariali, Assam.

    According to reports, Boro is a candidate for the post of SI (UB) and has stayed in Hotel Bhargav Grand in the intervening night of September 19 and 20.

    Earlier, suspect Boro was arrested on July 12 in connection with a case which relates to high jacking of truck loaded with Supari and subsequent killing of driver and handyman of the truck.

    As of now,  11 persons are arrested by CID in the Assam Police examination scam case. Raids and search are going on in various places like Barpeta, Guwahati and other places for absconding accused.
