    Assam Police exam scam: Another accused arrested from Lakhimpur

    A team of CID and Lakhimpur Police arrested the another accused Atul Nath from Panigaon, Khoga area in Lakhimpur district of Assam

    Guwahati: The list of people arrested in the Assam Police exam scam goes on after prime accused Diban Deka and mastermind of the scam PK Dutta was arrested by Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

    In a recent development, police has arrested another accused Atul Nath from Panigaon, Khoga area in Lakhimpur district of Assam for his involvement in the scam.

    A team of CID and Lakhimpur Police arrested the accused from his residence. As per sources, Deka was brought back to Guwahati on Tuesday night and he is currently being interrogated by CID.

    It is to be mentioned here that after nearly 15 days, former deputy inspector general (DIG) of police Prasanta Kumar Dutta, was arrested on the Indo-Nepal border. The operation was led by Assam additional director general of police (ADGP) for law and order, GP Singh.

    However, 36 accused have been arrested as of now including PK Dutta in the Assam Police exam scam.
