CID office in Guwahati

Guwahati: Assam Police crime investigation department (CID) to re-examine the candidature of applicants who have allegedly submitted false information during their recruitment.

There were some 414 candidates, who have allegedly untrustworthy information during the recruitment process. A case has been registered in connection to it.

The candidates would be asked to resubmit their qualification certificates for re-verification by the department.

Meanwhile, the candidates in question staged a protest in front of CID office on Tuesday. They denied the charges and claimed that all the documents submitted by them were genuine.

The department had earlier informed that the computer certificates of many candidates, who had cleared the examinations, were also found to be questionable.
