Assam police rescued minor girl from Maharashtra

Guwahati: A minor girl was rescued from Maharashtra’s Palghar after a successful operation by a squad of Dhubri Police.

According to sources, a minor girl from Dhubri was led out of the state after falling into a “love trap.” She was afterwards kidnapped by someone from Maharashtra.

Dhubri Police, headed by SI Kapil Das sprung into action and with the assistance of Maharashtra Police, rescued the minor.

Taking to Twitter, the official account of Dhubri Police wrote, “Beware of the strangers masquerading as cupids with a trap! Keep vigilant watch on your children! Don’t let your child’s innocence suffer silently in trafficker’s den ! In a successful ops, a minor girl is rescued from Palghar, Maharashtra by a police team led by SI Kapil Das.”

The tweet further added, “Being the fifth successful rescue operation of Dhubri Police conducted outside the state in last three months it embodies the uncompromising & relentless crusade of Dhubri Police against the menace of human trafficking.”
