Guwahati: Assam Police seized a huge quantity of Ganja and arrested four persons in the Dhubri district on Friday.
According to sources, based on secret information, a police team of the district watch post had intercepted two vehicles in the Golakganj area.
During the search, the police team found 60 kg of Ganja in both vehicles. As per sources, the estimated market value of the seized ganja is said to be in lakhs.
Meanwhile, four persons were arrested in connection to the seizure.
The arrested accused have been identified as Mahidul Islam, Wasib Hussain, Rubul Mishra and Rokib Hussain.
On Thursday too, the Guwahati police arrested one person and seized 320 kg of cannabis from a truck in the Khanapara area. The arrested person has been identified as Thongiya Mog of Tripura.
