    Assam Police SI recruitment exam on November 22

    Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had directed the board to conduct the exams within a month

    GUWAHATI: The Assam State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) announced the admit card issuing date and exam date for the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) of police as on November 16 and November 22 respectively.

    The board is recruiting to fill up 597 Sub-Inspector (UB) in Assam Police. Out of the total aspirants, 418 are for male candidates and the remaining 179 for female candidates.

    In September, the recruitment landed in a huge controversy after the question paper for the SI exam was leaked leading to the cancellation of the exam then. Many including top Assam police officials were arrested in connection to the case and the investigation is still ongoing.

    Crores of money allegedly collected from candidates were also recovered which were.

    The board, however, this time has assured to conduct fair recruitment. “The State Level Police Recruitment Board assures all applicants that the examination process will be totally transparent, where every applicant will get a fair opportunity to compete,” stated the notification.

    Earlier, the chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal had directed the board to conduct the exams within a month and in a complete fair manner.
