Guwahati: The seat-sharing deals with Congress and its allies including the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) and the Left parties are almost confirmed.
As per party insiders, AIUDF is likely to contest in 24 seats for the upcoming Assam assembly elections.
Speaking to TIME8, Dhing MLA Aminul Islam said, “I am yet not being informed about the final seat sharing deals, however, our demand was at least 30 seats. The final seat agreements will be declared today,” said MLA Aminul Islam before TIME8 on Saturday.
The seats where the Badruddin Ajmal-led AIUDF party is likely to field its candidates are:
Jamunamukh, Bilasipara West, Mankachar, Sonai, Dhubri, Jania, Sarukhetri, Abhayapuri South, Bhabanipur, Dhing, Dolgaon, Naoboicha, Bilasipara East, Katlichera, Goalpara West, Jaleswar, Gauripur, South Karimganj, Badarpur, Algapur, Hailakandi.
