    Assam Polls: CM accompanies Ranjit Das in nomination filing; addresses several rallies

    BJP leader Ranjit Das filed his nomination papers for Patacharkuchi constituency for the third phase of the Assembly polls.

    Guwahati: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday accompanied the nomination filing process of state BJP president Ranjit Das and also addressed several rallies in the state.

    The ‘Padyatra’ of the CM and Das witnessed massive support and enthusiasm, exhibiting a massive show of strength on the occasion.

    Saying that Patacharkuchi area is intellectually developed, Sonowal highlighted how earlier governments never fulfilled the promises given during the election campaigning whereas the BJP government has been endeavoring towards fulfilling its commitment of a terrorism-free, corruption-free, illegal migrants free, and pollution-free Assam.

    The ‘Padyatra’ of the CM and Das witnessed massive support and enthusiasm, exhibiting a massive show of strength on the occasion.

    He also said that the BJP government has prepared the groundwork for making Assam a participant in the race to become a top state in the country and recalled how no work could be done without bribe during the Congress Government time when the public had to pay a bribe even to get the benefit of government schemes.    

    Sonowal also urged the people to bring BJP to power again for another 5 years for making Assam one of the top states in the country and said that the youths of the state have been inspired during the present government to study and work hard in their respective fields to achieve excellence.

    The chief minister also attended rallies at Tingkhong and Moran LAC to campaign for BJP candidates Bimal Borah and Chakradhar Gogoi, respectively.

    CM Sonowal has also addressed a massive rally at Sonari and called on the people to elect the BJP candidates.

    “BJP led state government has shown utmost respect to people’s wishes and aspirations and have worked earnestly for finding solutions to key problems in the last five years,” the minister said.

    Elections to the 126-member Assam assembly will be held in three phases on March 27, April 1, and April 6.
