    Assam Polls: Congress to flag off its ‘5 Guarantee’ yatra from March 11

    The yatra will take place in constituencies across 33 districts of Assam, from the first phase of the polls to the third phase.

    Guwahati: After the success of the ‘Axom Basaon Ahok’ bus-yatra, the Congress party has decided to continue the momentum by flagging off their ‘5 Guarantee’ from March 11, 2021.

    The yatra will take place in constituencies across 33 districts of Assam, from the first phase of the polls to the third phase.

    Various senior leaders of the party will spearhead the yatra, who will be consistently communicating with the grassroots, through engaging events in all Constituencies, during their Yatras.

    The yatra will be flagged off by AICC general secretary in-charge of Assam, Jitendra Singh, accompanied by MP (LS) and chairperson of the Congress campaign committee Pradyut Bordoloi at Paschim Nagaonnear Jagiroad Town NH37.

    MP (LS) and Manifesto Committee Chairman, Gaurav Gogoi will commence his Yatra, from Haleswar Temple, Tezpur in, Sonitpur District.

    President All-India Mahila Congress and Outreach Committee Chairman, Sushmita Dev, will initiate her Yatra on March 13, from Gandhi Park, Silchar, in Cachar District.

    “The ‘Congressor 5 Guarantee Yatra’ will be powerfully programmed, under the tagline of ‘Ahi Ase Congress GuaranteerSoite’ (Congress is coming, with Guarantee) which will amplify the slogan of, ‘Congressorai 5 Guarantee: Kio aruKenekoi, AhokKothaPatu’ (Congress is Coming With 5 Guarantee: Why and how? Let’s talk),” the party stated in a release.

    The second-led of Congress’s yatras ‘Congressor 5 Gaurantee’ was launched by party leader Priyanka Gandhi on March 2 at Tezpur.

    The promise includes a law that nullifies the CAA; 5 lakh government jobs, raising tea workers’ wages to Rs 365; free electricity up to 200 units per household and Rs 2,000 monthly income support to all housewives.
