    Assam registers 2,785 new COVID-19 cases; tally rises to 1,28,244

    Among the new cases, 675 were from Kamurp (M), 220 from Dibrugarh, 165 from Jorhat and 126 from Lakhimpur

    GUWAHATI: As many as 2,785 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in Assam on Monday, taking the total number of cases to 1,28,244.

    Among the new cases, 675 were from Kamurp (M), 220 from Dibrugarh, 165 from Jorhat and 126 from Lakhimpur.

    Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that 38,611COVID-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.

    10 fatalities were also registered in Assam on Monday.

    Meanwhile, 2,250 patients were discharged from various hospitals and covid care centers across the state.

    According to date released by Assam health minister, 1,28,244 COVID-19 cases were reported in the state on Monday. Out of which, 99,073 have been recovered, while 370 have passed away and 3 have migrated to other states.

    The total number of active cases in the state now stands at 28,798.
