    Assam reported new 2,402 COVID-19 cases on Monday out of 32,342 tests done in last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 482

    GUWAHATI: Assam reported new 2,402 COVID-19 cases on Monday out of 32,342 tests done in last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 482.

    Out of the new cases, 538 cases were reported from Kamrup (M), 138 from Dibrugarh, 182 from Lakhimpur, 175 from Jorhat and 118 from Golaghat district among others.

    The state has registered 13 more death on Monday. Of the 13 deaths, two each were reported from Uladguri, Sivasagar and Jorhat and one each from Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Dhubri, Darrang, Golaghat, Kamrup (M) and Nagaon district.

    Meanwhile, 1,828 patients were discharged from various hospitals and COVID care centres across the state.

    According to the date released by health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday, a total of 1,44,166 cases have been reported in Assam, among which 1,15,051 patients have recovered and 482 have succumbed to the disease.
