    Suspected NSCN-K Militants Attack Assam Rifles Camp In Nagaland, Jawan Injured

    Suspected militants of banned outfits National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K  and United Liberation Front of Assam-Independent (ULFA-I) attacked the 40 Assam Rifles Delta Company camp in Mon district of Nagaland in the wee hours of October 20th, 2019.

    As per information available, an Assam Rifles trooper was seriously injured in the attack. The camp is located at Chenloisho village in Mon district. Heavy rounds of bullet were exchanged between the paramilitary personnel and the ultras, as informed by sources. The rebels later fled from the spot.  

    Empty cases of bullets, grenade cartridges were recovered from the spot. It may be recalled, two Assam Rifles personnel were killed during a gunfight with suspected NSCN-K rebels in Mon area along the Indo-Myanmar border in Nagaland in May this year.
