Assam Sattriya artist Mridusmita Das paid tribute to the soldiers on I-Day

GUWAHATI: Assam Sattriya artist Mridusmita Das paid tribute to the soldiers of Indian Arm Forces who have made highest sacrifices for the nation through Sattriya dance on the 74th Independence Day of the country.

A recipient of Sangeet Natak Akademi’s Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for the year 2013-14, the dancer has tried to depict the bravery of the Indian soldiers while saving the nation from all kinds of threats.

She has also been awarded the ‘Young Talented Artiste Award’ by NEZCC, Govt. of India, Ministry of Culture and ‘Young Achiever’s Award’ by Dalmia Cement Bharat Ltd. Mridusmita Das is also an empanelled artist with the ICCR for Sattriya dance.
