Guwahati: The Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Directorate of Assam arrested senior assistant of (the District Transport Office) DTO Office red-handed while taking a bribe in the Dhemaji district on Thursday.
The arrested has been identified as Gobin Bordoloi.
Bordoloi was caught red-handed while accepting demanded money for the renewal of trade license of the E-Rickshaw shop.
Taking to Twitter, Special Director General of Police (Law and Order), GP Singh wrote, “Continued offensive against corruption. Sri Gobin Bordoloi, Senior Assistant of DTO Office Dhemaji has been trapped and arrested red handed today by team of @DIR_VAC_ASSAM while accepting demanded money for renewal of trade license of E-Rickshaw shop.”
On Wednesday, the Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption arrested a dealing assistant in the sub-registrar office in the DC office complex of Biswanath District while accepting a demanded bribe.
The arrested accused was identified as Tapan Saha.
