    Assam: Son brutally murders mother in Lakhimpur

    The deceased identified as Kunja Gogoi (50) was allegedly murdered by her own son, Nitu Gogoi (21), when she called him for dinner.

    Guwahati: In a heart wrenching incident, a man allegedly killed his own mother at Bahupatha in Lakhimpur on Thursday night, The deceased identified as Kunja Gogoi (50) was allegedly murdered by her own son, Nitu Gogoi (21), when she called him for dinner.

    It is known that, upon calling several times for dinner by his mother, Nitu did not respond. And a fight erupted between the duo, where the son beat his own mother to death.

    The victim was rushed to the North Lakhimpur Civil Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

    The accused was later arrested by police for the heinous crime and an investigation is underway.
