They have also requested to keep in mind the utmost priority of the health of the students in such pandemic situation.

Guwahati: Following the decision of CBSE, CISCE and several state boards to cancel class 10, 12 board exams owing to the COVID-19 situation, thousands of students in Assam have also urged the state government to cancel class 10, 12 SEBA and AHSEC exams.

Raising the demands, the students have also started #CancelAssamBoardExams on Twitter urging the government to cancel the board examinations and get into a student-friendly decision.

They have also requested to keep in mind the utmost priority of the health of the students in such pandemic situation.

The students said that the ‘ongoing suspense and the delay’ regarding the board exams looming over the students have brought them immense tension and also depression.

Earlier, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the state government is going to wait for the criteria of evaluation of CBSE.

CM Sarma had also said that the state government will sit with the higher authorities of the education departments and various colleges to chalk out a universal process for the selection of students into the Class XI and Undergraduate courses.
