Mumbai/Guwahati, November 24: As a part of the much talked about `National Integration Tour” organised by the Indian Army, 20 students hailing from Kokrajhar, Assam have visited Mumbai.
This tour has been initiated by 3 Rajput Battalion of Army in order to educate the students and enhance their vision about the rich heritage, culture, current developments and quality of life.
The students met and interacted with Ch Vidyasagar Rao, the Maharashtra Governor at Raj Bhavan. According to sources, the Governor enjoyed the interactive session with the students and encouraged them about education. He advised them to not follow the path of violence and concentrate in becoming true and responsible citizens of the country.
A member of 3 Rajput Battalion, Captain Shubham Deshmukh is accompanying and guiding the students in their tour. He said that the students will be taken to IIT Bombay for a quick visit and also will meet the actors of CID serial on their sets. After this, they will proceed to Pune to catch the live parade of NDA.
The students will also visit AFMC, Army Institute of Technology, National War Museum and the Rajiv Gandhi Zoo. The best part is, they will also visit Goa after being done with Pune. During their visit from November 28-30, the students will visit the 2 Signal Training Centre, Kala Akademi, Goa Science Centre and Church Fair at Panaji. They will be returning Assam by December 1st.
