Assam, Tripura CMs discuss issues of mutual interests, cooperation

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma and Tripura Chief Minister, Manik Saha held a meeting here on Sunday and discussed several issues of mutual interests and cooperation.

Inviting his Tripura counterpart over breakfast at the Assam House, Chief Minister Sarma talked about a wide range of issues of mutual interests and cooperation, including strengthening of ties with the neighbouring state. Assam shares 46.3 km inter-state boundary with Tripura.

Both the Chief Ministers also discussed ways of strengthening the party.

The discussion ended with both the Chief Ministers reiterating their mutual commitment to further enrich their cordial relations and work towards the economic prosperity of the region.

Later, taking to his Twitter handle, Chief Minister Sarma said, “Assam and Tripura have always shared amicable ties. Had a meaningful conversation on areas of mutual interests, including ways to strengthen our party.”
