Dhemaji Train Accident: NFR says Victims using Unauthorized Railway Crossing
Locals said that the accident occurred at an unmanned railway crossing in the area.

Guwahati: Two persons including a woman were killed in Assam’s Dhemaji when a SUV vehicle they were traveling collided with a high speeding train on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Dimple Buragohain and Nirmala Doley. While Burgohain, the driver fo the vehicle died on the sport, Nirmala Doley believed to have died while taken to Dibrugarh Medical college hospital.

The incident occurred at Bordoloni-Dhemaji section in Dhemaji district of Assam. The train that was involved in the accident was Naharlagun-Tinsukia intercity express.

Locals said that the accident occurred at an unmanned railway crossing in the area. They also blamed the railway authority for overlooking the demand of a railway barricade in the area for long.
