    Assam: ULFA-I claims responsibility for Digboi army camp blast

    The bomb blast occurred on January 22, 2021, at around 6:45 pm at the camp of the 3no. Garhwal Regiment in Digboi Town.

    Guwahati: ULFA-I claims responsibility for Digboi army camp blast : Ahead of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah’s visit, the United Liberation Front of Assam (Independent) on Friday claimed responsibility for orchestrating a blast near the 3 Garhwal Regiment Headquarters in Tinsukia, Assam.

    The bomb blast occurred on January 22, 2021, at around 6:45 pm at the camp of the 3no Garhwal Regiment in Digboi Town.

    Meanwhile, the militant outfit has also called for a boycott of the Republic Day celebrations in the state. The organisation released a statement calling for ‘general strike’ on January 26, appealing the people of the region to boycott the celebrations.

    “This so called Republic Day of India is opposed to our ideals and hence we have been opposing it. We call upon all political and apolitical people of WeSEA (West-Eastern South East Asia) to boucott the celebrations of this Indian political event,” the banned outfit stated in a release.
