In a bid to promote tourism in the international platform, Assam has participated in the ongoing World Travel Market (WTM) in London, United Kingdom. WTM, which is an annual business exhibition for travel industry professionals, began on November 4th, 2019, will conclude on November 6th, 2019.
Popular Assamese actors Barsha Rani Bishaya, Nishita Goswami and Tanvi Sharma represented Assam in the world exhibition highlighting the tourism opportunities and potentialities in the world platform. The trio looked gorgeous in traditional attire.
Speaking in a Facebook live, Barsha Rani Bishaya said, “We represented Assam in 2015 under the Congress rule. This year, we have got another opportunity to represent the state and help in promoting tourism.” In the video, the actors were seen promoting Assam tea, one-horned rhinoceros, silk and tourist spots.
Bhaskar Phukan, Managing Director of the Assam Tourism Development Corporation, led the team.
