    Assam’s Adil Hussain to feature in British-Indian film ‘Footprints On water’

    Hailing from Assam, Adil Hussain will be seen playing the role of the father, while Aakeel will play the role of an Afgani refugee.

    Guwahati: Internationally acclaimed actor Adil Hussain to feature alongside british actor Antonio Aakeel in upcoming British-Indian film ‘Footprints On Water’.

    Footprints on Water will narrate the story of an illegal immigrant father in the UK who is frantically searching for his missing daughter while trying to avoid the police rather.

    Through this search, the film will portray the lives of immigrants of various nationalities who arrive in the UK hoping to turn their lives around. The film is written by Neetha Syam and will be helmed by Nathalia Syam.

    Hailing from Assam, Adil Hussain will be seen playing the role of the father, while Aakeel will play the role of an Afgani refugee. Malayam actress Nimisha Sajayan plays the role of the daughter.

    Sharing the news on Twitter, Hussain wrote: “This is a role that I am eagerly waiting to breathe life into. Wish us luck please. Shooting starts in Birmingham in December. Director @nathaliasyam thank you @namanrs @Variety.”

    The film also features Malayalam actress Lema Kumar as the missing girl’s stepmother.

    The film is produced by Mhaan Nadaar’s London-based outfit The Production Headquarters, whose credits include several UK-India features, including the upcoming, Scotland-shot ‘Rat on Highway’ featuring Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda.
