Guwahati: The Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water and Sewage Board on August 8th, 2019 issued a notice that a few areas of the Guwahati city may have to face issues related to supply water from today due to breakage of raw water pumps.

A copy of the notice is available with TIME8.

According to the notice, the water supply will be interrupted in the areas covered by Zoo Road Water Supply Scheme(ZRWSS) which connects one the busiest-posh roads of the city—Ganeshguri, Christian Basti, Rajgarh, Rukminigaon, Srinagar, Tarun Nagar, Ambikagiri Nagar, Hengrabari, Rupnagar, Japorigag, Bhaskarnagar and Sarumotoriaand Jatia.

The water board also informed that the issue will continue till August 11th, 2019 and urged the residents to “extend their support to overcome the situation,”.

“The water supply…. will be interrupted from August 8-11 owing to sudden break down of raw water pumps. Now only one pump is in place and it has been decided to supply water intermittently to the areas covered by ZRWSS,” the notice read.
