    Bad Roads? MP Pradan Baruah Joins Locals To Fix Potholes In Doomdooma

    Baruah said Rs 50 lakh has been sanctioned for construction of the roads in the town

    Without waiting for the government’s assistance, hundreds of locals came out to repair a dilapidated road in Doomdooma town in Tinsukia district of Assam on September 15th, 2019. Joining them was the Bharatiya Janata Party parliamentarian from Assam’s Lakhimpur district Pradan Baruah.

    Armed with a spade, Baruah tried to fix the potholes of the road with sand gravel. Speaking to the media persons, the MP said, “Many subways in different wards of the town are in dilapidated condition. We have come out today to repair the roads. The dilapidated subways in the town will be repaired soon under the party fund.”

    He further said that sufficient materials have already been stored at different places for the road repair purpose. Baruah also assured the people that he would take initiative for construction of pucca roads for better communication.

    “I’ll take the initiative to construct the pucca roads in the town,” he added. He also informed that he has sanctioned an amount of Rs 50 lakh for the construction of the roads.
