Guwahati: In a mysterious incident, a 56-year-old man has been found dead at 15 No National Highway in Lakhimpur on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Kalidas Sarma, who hailed from Bihupuria and was working at a Gramin Bank in Panigon.
Reportedly, his body was found deserted on the side of the national highway and reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained.
The family members of the victim alleged that the incident occurred when Sarma was returning home from his work.
Laluk police reached the site and sent the body for post mortem reports. An investigation has also been initiated regarding the incident.
